AMERICAN SECURITY RESOURCES FILES NEW PATENTS ON ITS HYDRASTAX™ FUEL CELL TECHNOLOGY
Houston, TX (BusinessWire) May 23, 2006 – American Security Resources Corp. (OTCBB: ARSC) announced today that it has filed multiple new patents as the result of its continued development of fuel cell technology. ARSC's patent and trademark counsel, the Buskop Law Group (www.buskoplaw.com ), has filed a series of new patent applications on the design, manufacture and operation of its breakthrough HydraStax™ hydrogen fuel cell. Some of these patent applications are eligible for priority consideration by the US Patent Office because they eliminate the use of hydrocarbons in electricity generation.
"We see these new patents as a big step forward and as further validation of the superior research and design we bring to the exciting future of fuel cell technology," stated Bob Farr, President of ARSC. "With the advances covered by these patents, we plan to be much more than just another fuel cell company," he added. "We expect to be a leader in the development of efficient, low-cost production of electricity using highly efficient hydrogen fuel cells, and we expect to be there soon."
Fuel cell technologies continue to be developed by ARSC's wholly owned subsidiary, Hydra Fuel Cell Corporation. Ed Davis, Chairman of Hydra, added "These patents represent a significant addition to Hydra's foundational work in the fuel cell industry and many more are in the pipe."
Hydra's current expectation is that it will begin commercial delivery of fuel cell electrical generating units by the fourth quarter of this year.
