Investor A.T. Merrill Joins Board of Directors of ARSC
Board Extends Warrant Expiration to December 2007

Houston, TX. (BusinessWire) September 21, 2006 – American Security Resources Corp. (OTCBB: ARSC) announced today that real estate investor Alvie T. Merrill of Lake Jackson, Texas, has joined its Board of Directors. Mr. Merrill is President of A.T. Merrill Business Consulting, a management consultant and investment banking firm. He is also Chairman of Merrill-Zurich Inc. a diversified real estate holding and consulting company.

The Board also extended the expiration date to December 31, 2007 of the Company’s seven series of warrants that were placed in its 2004 Units offering. They previously were set to expire at the end of 2006. The exercise of the warrants will provide an additional $10,500,000 in equity to ARSC.
